Meet The Nobel Family

Having 26 years enriching the lives and building the learning foundations of kindergarten students in the Cleveland.  Mary Strongoli has a four-year early childhood education degree from Kent State University. She has over 26 years of enriching the lives and building the learning foundations of kindergarten students abroad in England and in the Cleveland school district. Being chosen as the lead kindergarten teacher she taught, mentored, and supported students and newly hired teachers at Miles Park Elementary School. By introducing new reading, writing, and math programs that achieved and surpassed state standards, she played a vital role in Miles Park’s incredible achievement in outperforming suburban schools in reading and math. Because of Mary’s deep commitment to providing an exceptional education for all levels of young learners, she has consistently achieved The Teacher of the Year Award and received Exceptional/Distinguished evaluations each year. Mary is excited to be apart of Nobel team so that she can continue her passion She has a deep commitment to providing an exceptional education for all levels of young learners creating a safe secure warm accepting atmosphere; building self esteem and self confidence, and fostering inquiry and a life long love of learning.

Donald Strongoli is a retired kindergarten teacher from the Hudson City School District in

northeast Ohio with over 22 years of experience teaching kindergarten. He has a Master of

Education Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University.

Educating our children during the most critical years of their lives requires preparation, patience,

and a profound understanding of early childhood development. Mr. Strongoli has gained

acclaim for his creative lessons using differentiated instruction that engages all of his students

by addressing their different learning styles. He incorporates imagination, art, music, drama and

magic into his lessons, giving children many modes of expression that encourages each child’s

learning through his or her strengths. By involving young children in exciting learning

experiences, Mr. Strongoli’s students gain an appreciation for learning that will be remembered

by them for years to come.  Mr. Strongoli is the recipient of numerous Hudson City School District awards for his teaching  including the Distinguished Teacher Award in 2002 and several Shining Apple Awards for outstanding effort. In 2002-2003, he was nominated and became a Jennings Scholar of the

Martha Holden Jennings Foundation. In 2005, Mr. Strongoli was selected by Walmart to be the

Walmart Teacher of the Year. The Plain Dealer Crystal Apple Award was given to Mr. Strongoli

from the Cleveland Plain Dealer Newspaper in recognition of his accomplishments in education

for the 2006-2007 school year.

Justin Strongoli graduated with honors with a four-year degree in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University.  In addition to teaching Kindergarten for Cleveland Metropolitan School District, he also has more than 800 hours of in-field experience at five different schools in varying demographic backgrounds.  Justin is equipped with the skills and dispositions needed to ensure each child’s learning style is accommodated for and that each child is experiencing joyful learning.  While a Kindergarten teacher, 95% of his children met or exceeded their year-end goal for mathematics, and 70% of his children met or exceeded their year-end goal for reading.
